I have an idea about camera zoom.
We already can adjust each camera (its angle with CTRL+mouse and its distance with ALT+mouse).
We can adjust camera's zoom by rolling a middle mouse's button. I mean to change it. Camera's zoom would be adjustable like its angle and its distance with for example shift+mouse. Then zooming would become fluid.
Of course saving cameras' adjustments should be improved.

I don't know how it works here in dsj, but in many games 'shift' is not commonly used, because of it's windows functions. It could be really annoying, especially when holding down the shift key.

But it doesn't have to be "shift+mouse", it can be "z+mouse". Also, a key that docks/undocks the camera in one place, like in F7/F2.
