Not Polish, but I dare to answer anyway..
Been there done that, you should go, a former dsj3 player from Norway Ronny J. lives in Gdynia.
I visited him a while ago.
Just a short distance from Gdansk to Gdynia, personally i liked Gdynia more than Gdansk.
But I think the average tourist prefer Gdansk..
