The Tour de DSJ is a great idea to me especially because it tries to copy the real Tour de Ski and I think that WC and Olympics should be done in the same manner. We should have those competitions in the season, when the real WC or (Olympics) is also scheduled, so that means: WC is next year in Liberec and we do it next year here too etc....
Those competitions are done in only two hills (one small and one big + team event), so how about we copy this formula here also? Let's say when the next year's schedule is announced, we set the date for a World championship too, and compete only two days - first day 32 competitions on ONE SMALL hill, and on the second day 32 competitions on ONE BIG hill. Jussi could choose those two hills at random and they would change every two years of course. Winners become World Champions and hold the title for two years. Same formula of course goes for Olympic games (and maybe even World Flying Championships, like we had this season in Oberstdorf).
The advantages of this kind of competition would be:
- big similarity with real ski jumping schedules
- WC would remain hard-to-achieve and long-time-to-expect event, like in real ski jumping
- the hills and date would be announced well in advance, so the players have time and can prepare to jump well on them. This would toughen up the competition even more...
- Jussi would not have much trouble in setting those events (i presume

- the champion would become the one that is in extra good form on THAT DAY, which may bring on surprise winners, like we know there are many many surprise World Champions ...
Disadvantages:
- we'll have to wait whole year for the first event like this

So, that's it. Jussi and the others, what do you think? Can it be done so we have the first official DSJ World championship next season?
