I would like to add that I have a similar problem to this. There's noticeably lower fps/lag in movement in the new version (all hills), and changing resolution or graphics settings doesn't help. Like the user above, the previous version ran excellent on the highest settings. Also, it seems that the game takes slightly longer to load (it takes some more seconds before the initial "Mediamond" screen appears).kassparro wrote:I have problem with lower fps too. Changing graphic settings like number of trees etc. doesn't help. The only solution is playing on the lowest resolution but previous version run excellent on the highest.
You're right. In my opinion DSJ4 hasn't got support from newest Windows (8 and Server 2012).pikuvava wrote:I installed Windows 8 to my Laptop (because it seemed better and it actually is) All games run well but when i tried to open DSJ(3,4) there came "Could not Create Direct3D Device" So isnt Windows 8 compatible with DSJ(s) or something else?
I would like to reiterate this problem, as it occurs in all versions starting with 1.1.0. I don't know of a much better way to explain it than that the gameplay simply feels less smooth. I would love to play the new hills, but if the problems persists with the coming version I guess I'm stuck with 1.0.1, as I hate the "unsmoothness". I have all the newest drivers etc.SveinR wrote:There's noticeably lower fps/lag in movement in the new version (all hills), and changing resolution or graphics settings doesn't help. If helpful: I have an Nvidia GeForce GTX460 GPU, and an Intel i5 CPU, running on Win 7 64-bit.

The fact that all these later versions also take longer time to load (1.0.1 took 2.7 sec before the Mediamond logo appears, the later versions over 5 sec) leads me to believe these problems could be connected. I don't expect you to spend much time on fixing the issue since it appears I am the only one who has a problem, but it can't hurt to ask.
Those "problems" are not connected. The game preloads more graphics already at the startup than earlier.SveinR wrote: The fact that all these later versions also take longer time to load (1.0.1 took 2.7 sec before the Mediamond logo appears, the later versions over 5 sec) leads me to believe these problems could be connected.
