Harder take off
Harder take off
Currently it's too easy to get some height in my opinion, especially by taking off slightly before the end of inrun. Even if I try to make the jump bad, it takes off with the constant, large power. The only hill I've got real problems is Garmisch. If there was a point on the inrun, from which take off power would be the biggest, then decreasing each cm away from it. An elite "fit in" game.
Just please consider it.
The zones of take off power, colours are not to be included.

Re: Harder take off
In Planica is too easy :3 I want this like in some games, some arcade games
Re: Harder take off
@Risen: That take off would be way too early... (if you would start your takeoff in the green zone)
And I agree with cruzzz112, it's good as it is.

Re: Harder take off
This is from my Planica record replay. I started to take off in the highlighted moment so he took off with his feet centimeters before the end of inrunFingi wrote:@Risen: That take off would be way too early... (if you would start your takeoff in the green zone)

Re: Harder take off
The Take-Off must be later so like this:
Maybe it is a bit too late, but on this Video:

On 0:30

Re: Harder take off
It's because IRL the actual take-off (I mean gain of the upward momentum) doesn't happen when legs are straight, but a bit earlier.
Re: Harder take off
Good to know mate, thanks This may prove that it's currently too easy. I jumped 228m with definitely bad end of the jump (panic mode on).TPo wrote:That's actually too earlyRisen wrote:This is from my Planica record replay. Anyway, who, if not mr J. knows the best where's the right moment?
Mine is just a proposal to make the take off power stricter, according to the right moment.

Re: Harder take off
I haven't hard-coded any optimal time for the takeoff. It's the physics engine that calculates the outcome.skiflyer11 wrote:i think he even doesnt know that

So, doable and necessary?
