What about if the weather would change during the competition? For example: if it is snowing during the competition, it might decrease and stop, or change to water rain. Or if the competition starts at 14.00 in winter, 2nd round would be jumped in darker and so on. Or it might turn foggy... Have you considered this?

The weather + lighting conditions remain the same during the competition to minimize the loading times. More jumping, less waiting...

I prefer less jumping, more waiting and different conditions during one competition.
