The essence is still the records hunting... and that's what matters.
So long as Jussi won't cut the centimeters in the jumping distance I'm pretty laid back with the way things are going.
totally agree on that... if one day CPU jumpers can be integrated, fine - if not, fine as well. the jumping itself + record hunting at least for me personally is way more important.

And I do not agree at all. Record huting is like hotlaping in simracing. It can be fun, of course, but what makes even bigger fun is competition. Yeah, you can jump 20 meters further in first session, but in next session you can fu** up your take-off and lose. When racing, in qualifier you can be even one second faster, and then fu** up at the start or at some corner and lose. Being better means having greater consistency.

+1

I don't find it appealing at all. Part of that is because I'll never invest enough time in the game to ever set any records. I'd have a better shot at beating the americans in a race to the moon.

Besides, what is the point of having Team Cup in the game if you don't have CPU jumpers? :)

Well, I just have to answer... Its fun to play with friends using teams, not changing the hill every 4 or 6 jumps. And at least I use it in record-hunting, because its nice to have some custom teams. Much easier to color one suit than four.

We have unofficial offline cups for these purposes too. Actually, the community could create a great variety of different game forms if we think about it.

Yes, but imagine, I don't want to play online very often cause of people talking sh*t on chat all the time. Sometimes it feels like you're on Jerry Springer or sth ;) If I wanna play an MMO, I have much more entertaining games for that, like WoW and iRacing. DSJ4 is for me like a "jumpaway" form other gaming activities, hardly the most important of them all, you feel me? ;)

Im not talking about the online thing in the game. Im talking about offline tournaments in the net, like dsj3.net and ski-stars.eu.
