I would like to add that I have a similar problem to this. There's noticeably lower fps/lag in movement in the new version (all hills), and changing resolution or graphics settings doesn't help. Like the user above, the previous version ran excellent on the highest settings. Also, it seems that the game takes slightly longer to load (it takes some more seconds before the initial "Mediamond" screen appears).kassparro wrote:I have problem with lower fps too. Changing graphic settings like number of trees etc. doesn't help. The only solution is playing on the lowest resolution but previous version run excellent on the highest.
If helpful: I have an Nvidia GeForce GTX460 GPU, and an Intel i5 CPU, running on Win 7 64-bit.

It's not a bug, but...
5 mins ago I saw in Online an Irish player (Krzystof Swiech, if I remember it correctly). He hasn't got Irish flag on his helmet. So, Jussi, can you add the Irish flag to the game in this version, it it will be possible only in the next one?

All the newly reported bugs should be now fixed. I'll try to release a bug fix tomorrow.
Re: Bugs in the DSJ 4 v1.1.0 - Post your bugs here
Thanks for the update. Unfortunately my low framerate/movement lag problem still occurs. The effect is quite subtle, but still enough to prevent accurate jumps.

The stars are unrealistically big in the F1 view, zoom shouldnt affect the size of stars at all. Also, the night sky could be dark instead of yellow

I installed Windows 8 to my Laptop (because it seemed better and it actually is) All games run well but when i tried to open DSJ(3,4) there came "Could not Create Direct3D Device" So isnt Windows 8 compatible with DSJ(s) or something else?

You're right. In my opinion DSJ4 hasn't got support from newest Windows (8 and Server 2012).pikuvava wrote:I installed Windows 8 to my Laptop (because it seemed better and it actually is) All games run well but when i tried to open DSJ(3,4) there came "Could not Create Direct3D Device" So isnt Windows 8 compatible with DSJ(s) or something else?

I would like to reiterate this problem, as it occurs in all versions starting with 1.1.0. I don't know of a much better way to explain it than that the gameplay simply feels less smooth. I would love to play the new hills, but if the problems persists with the coming version I guess I'm stuck with 1.0.1, as I hate the "unsmoothness". I have all the newest drivers etc.SveinR wrote:There's noticeably lower fps/lag in movement in the new version (all hills), and changing resolution or graphics settings doesn't help. The fact that all these later versions also take longer time to load (1.0.1 took 2.7 sec before the Mediamond logo appears, the later versions over 5 sec) leads me to believe these problems could be connected. I don't expect you to spend much time on fixing the issue since it appears I am the only one who has a problem, but it can't hurt to ask .

Having this kind of problem? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=47Iw2K8AeNU
Seems like it may have something to do with nvidia gtx cards since I had this similar problem with fps. I have no idea thou when it got solved, but I'm running 1.2.0 with satisfying performance.
That's gotta hurt.

Those "problems" are not connected. The game preloads more graphics already at the startup than earlier.SveinR wrote: The fact that all these later versions also take longer time to load (1.0.1 took 2.7 sec before the Mediamond logo appears, the later versions over 5 sec) leads me to believe these problems could be connected. Thanks for clarifying that Jussi.
Zmaster: Quite similar yes. I hadn't checked this with fraps before, but I did it now. With 1.0.1 I get an fps of about 400 in the menus, and constant 150 in gameplay. With 1.2.1 I get about 200 in the menus, and it flickers from about 115 to 150 in gameplay.

I had forgotten that I had found a work-a-round for my fps-problem! For some reason program has worked fine for me for a long time without any shenanigans. SO I simply open a another program with dsj.exe. In my case it is world of warcraft. FPS stabilizes instantly if your computer can handle both programs.
I just stumbled upon this issue again after I ran windows update.
