Jussi, can you please zoom in the default camera in F7, F8, F9 and F10 view? The current views look too wide to me, not very estetical.

edit: LOL, i know I can zoom in and out using the mouse, just saying that some default settings do not look the best they can, and I'm just sharing my impressions with all of you.

The thing is all about the DEFAULT zoom level in certain view modes, such as F7, F8, F9, F10 that simply do not look that good.

Sorry if i'm missing something, but there could be some buttons on the keyboard to zoom in and out. Sometimes i'm using my touchpad (eg. just to watch some replays) and i don't know how to zoom in/out without the scroll) ;)

Dragorwyin wrote:Hey Jussi I have some ideas about light and graphic in summer time jumps.

1. What do you think about add grass near hill ? (not far, because some computers can get problems with perfomance of game. Of course you can do that just like with standing people or trees - use only texture ;p And amount of grass visible on the screen can be change in settings like other things :P

2. Maybe add horizon and new better sky? Replays will be more excited :D

3. Can you do something with light on the Hill? I mean in summer hills and terrain is too dark and everytime I'm trying skip a summer time (and I think that a lot of people do that).
1. Maybe grass is not that relevant. The camera is pretty far away from the ground so it wouldn't even show that much and would slow things down.

2. Clouds are pretty difficult to implement programmatically. Using a sky texture instead would limit the lighting and weather conditions too much.

3. I'll try to tune it a bit.

Which means it's not impossible.

edit: Maybe you can implement it in some later stage of the game development, omitting some extremely sophisticated features such as sun hiding behind the clouds etc. No clouds means less realism.

Currently the helmet has only one color + a small national flag in front of it. There's no such general color partitioning for the helmet as there is for the ski jumping suit.

And before someone asks it: The bottom of the skis will be two colored as well, though the second color is always black as in real skis.
