Is there any settings in "DSJ4 setup" that would help bring down the CPU consumption of DSJ4? Or some Windows settings? I play more robust games with higher requirements without such issues, but DSJ4 for some reason makes my laptop's fans to go full speed in few minutes.

Any ideas on how to improve the performance of DSJ?

You could try enabling Vertical Sync. Without VSync on the game defaults to 200 FPS which is higher than enough for most monitors.
