Thank you in advance for your answer
How is this relevant to custom hills? :?
Use viewforum.php?f=23

One feature would bring hill art completely to the new level. ;)

Ability to export inrun, dhill and terrain profiles to some common 3d file format (obj, fbx etc.), after generating them (accurately using FIS homologation data) with hill XML code.

Then we could model and map our hill art in any 3d modelling software accurately, using those exported objects as a reference, and finally bring those models back to the game.

Then we could replicate real-life hills in most accurate ways and giving hills much more realistic environments.

Heck, this would even open possibilities to make graphical UI - based hill editor... :)

Not sure, if you Jussi are willing to "open" your game that way tho...

Could be possible.

Good point. Realistic surroundings of the hill would be awesome, instead of the generic trees/buildings. While it is only "eye candy" thing and not needed for jumping, it creates great experience.

What about going even further and doing some crazy fictional environments - like a hill located on the Moon? :D I am personally not a big fan of unreal hills, but if they are in the game , why not spice things up a bit? :)

Yes, it would be great, but if we look at some hills, such as Nizhny tagil 134, Pula 104 and many others, the surroundings are also very good, and many trees and houses of different colors, the thing is quite solid. On the other hand, we have the hills of Sochi 106 and 140 and the new Zhangjiakou 140 looks like it would be on another planet, there is not a single tree and no house, although the hill is made perfectly, all credit to the authors, but with this environment is no longer so interesting. I wonder if there really is such a desert or is there some other problem with adding trees and houses?

The problem is that with a complex construction(Such as tribunes) that extends default Hill elements, trees or blocks overlap in the area of these constructions so its very hard to find a proper seed and amount of elements must be small-look at shuchinsk, there is low amount of blocks because for bigger number its appearing inside tribunes.

Maybe there might be some extra atribute added like distance radius so no elements would appear close to the Hill...

Thank you very much for the answer, now at least I know what the problem is. I hope this will be sorted out one day.

Haven't found topic related to sugestion, but please Jussi, in the next update, please correct the UV mapping of the skier (for example:ski top is not mapped at all although it's using ski-top.png texture) so it would use the whole texture. Probably devlopmentwise it's a small change, but could allow for great modifications.
The same comes with the sleeves, is it possible to have them separately? Not right now that one shoulder is a mirror texture of the other.
