I get this failure message now and then (actually quite frequently) when I play DSJ 3. From what I recall it happens mostly when the game is swapping maps/to scoreboards.
As for additional info, the sound from the game usual simply stop working 5-6 seconds after the first hill have been loaded. I don't know if this is related or not.
I'm running the game on an Acer Aspire 5720ZG with an Intel dual-core processor and a Nvidia GF 8400M GS graphic card.
Both, the newest drivers are updated, and the game have been uninstalled/reinstalled numorous times.
