Kulm is so unrealistic

Ok yesterday it was weird for me that jumpers in Kulm are jumping from gate 15 and 16 respectively. I've found wind data (
http://data.fis-ski.com/pdf/2014/JP/379 ... 3797RL.pdf) and already try it. Average wind in 1st round was -0,14 and gate was 15. Longest jump was 199m. And I've jumped 215m in game! In 1st round fastest inrun speed from gate 15 was 101.1 and I got 104.3! Kulm really needs repair!

Yes! Somebody will get angry about his records, but for me is great!

What do you think, why Kulm is the most popular hill in game? I love it!

The FIS hill certificate doesn't specify the shape of the inrun curve unambigiously, so some deviation in the inrun speeds is possible. In the latest hills I have fine-tuned the inrun speeds by hand.
Edit: The inrun gates in real Bad Mitterndorf have been changed since the hill was included to DSJ4.
I don't think that it's necessary to change the old hills as it would nullify the old hill records.

i think that nearly all of the players would accept the new kulm and would jump new pb's ...
maybe only Tomasz Karciarz won't be amused about "deleting" his world record

I don't think it's "stupid". It is very relevant, but perhaps not as trivial to perform as creating for example new hills. Maybe this kind of adjustement can be made once there are enough stuff that would affect hill records to be started again.

but it is very unrealistic:
real hill record is 215,50m - in game it's 223,63m
maybe if jussi has the time and the okay of many players he could create new kulm ...

yes, i think speeds from gates in game are unrealistic, from gate 5 we can get in game about 100 kph but in reality its about 96-97 kph
i remember that in BM in 2012 in one competition was pretty strong front wind (about 1,5 m/s, maximally to 2 m/s) and from gate 7 longest jump was 212,5 meters by Daiki Ito so i think it will be lowest gate 4-5 and maximal length from this gate should be 217-218 and landing here in the same difficulty (or a little bit more difficult) as in v1.0-v1.2

Christian Nagiller could stand at 220m easy.

It was pointed out in another thread that they have added more start gates to Bad Mitterndorf, so that's why the inrun speeds are different in DSJ4 if you use the same gate number.

The Kulm hill will probably rebuild untill next year, becaue, they have the flying world championchips there in 2016, so anyway, hill changes, but at some point, it was like the real hill an we all should not forget, it was one of the first hills in dsj 4, so as Jussi said, he finetuned the newer ones better and yeah there is a little bit difference, but who cares, it´s a great hill (probably the most jumped one in dsj4 history).
