Online World Cup 2013/2014 CALENDAR

*** VIII. ONLINE SEASON ***
Winter season is slowly creeping in, so it's time for us to get ready for the upcoming Online World Cup which kicks off on
23rd November 2013.
This is already our 8th Online season, folks! (3rd in DSJ4)

Schedule
- World Cup (1 x 24 hills) on every Wednesday at 19:00 CET & Saturday at 20:00 CET
-> Four Hills Tournament is part of the World Cup & Continental Cup, see the calendar below
- Marathon Cup (4 x 24 hills) on the first Friday of each month at 20:00 CET
- Ski Flying Cup (4 x 4 hills) on the first Monday of each month at 20:00 CET
Highlights of the season
- 5 new hills - Wisła HS134, Klingenthal HS140, Park City HS134, Park City HS100, Bischofshofen HS78
- brand new K.O. mode for select hills in regular WC and (hopefully) for all hills during the four 4HT cup events (is it possible to set up such room, Jussi?)
- will pikolak defend his title from last season and extend his dominance? will anyone challenge his world record peak rating of 1853?
- watch out for new names, anyone can surprise...

Looks nice indeed.
Now that new hills will arrive it makes the competition more challenging + we have to have the timing on the takeoff on the jumps.
I will try to do some training on the hills and of course be in good shape when the first competition starts.
But at the moment I'm not in that level yet, bu we'll see how it goes.
I wish every compeditor good luck anyway. This can be a good season.

Update: Now that it's almost certain there'll be 24 hills in the upcoming version, I think most of us will agree that 1 x 24 is the option to go with. 48-hills cup spreading over 90 minutes, that'd be more like a mini-marathon.

Nope, it's the same situation as last year, B servers are always empty, everybody wants to jump in World Cup.
However, with the start of new season, 1.5.0 version and all, this might as well change. So if any change does happen and enough players (say, at least 10) start to regularly compete on B server during World Cup, we will set up a new entry in the database for CoC as well. On the last tournament, there were more than 20 players with below-1200 rating so there's certainly a chance, but you can't force anyone to compete in CoC, although I think that fighting for TOP10 in B has to be more enjoyable than ending up somewhere below 40 in A. It's a choice to consider for the players concerned.
