Deluxe Ski Jump Forum

Hi

After changing the name of a skijumper in offline mode, the game crashes and I get the error "Unexpected Internal Error".

Example of change:
From "Kjell Arild Korbøl - FYK" to "Kjell Arild Korbøl - KPS"

After this I have to delete all my skijumpers from the folder "skijumpers" for reopening the game.

Seen this before Jussi?

I haven't been able to reproduce the bug. Does this happen every time or is there some pattern?

It happens to me 9 out of 10 times I change the jumpers name, so its a big problem, aslo for other players that play offline I have heard.

Try creating 20-30 jumpers with "yourname - ABC"
Jump some tournaments in offline WC (I jump 1 week offline, but that will be a long reproduce for you ), and rename one of the players to "yourname - DEF"

We use 3 letters code behind name in offline tournaments, and everytime I change one players code in game this happens.
I cant open game until I delete all the players.

Still no luck reproducing the bug. Could someone trigger the bug and email me the following files:

• Deluxe Ski Jump 4/Ski Jumpers/*.skj
• Deluxe Ski Jump 4/World Cup/Ski Jumpers.cfg

I tried to reproduce the error again now, but typically it did not happen this time.
will try some more, and send you the files next time it happens.

I just triggered the bug!

The .skj file is from the jumper that I changed name on.
I also sent you a mail with all the skj files including the 3 .cfg files from the world cup folder.

1 way to trigger the bug:
1. Create 31 jumpers with the same name: "KAK - ABC", nation: NOR
2. Select all the jumpers
3. Select "qualification" in world cup settings
4. Choose Planica in world cup hills
5. Start world cup and finnish the qualification + 1 jump in 1. round.
6. Exit the world cup
7. Go and change the name of one of the ski jumpers to "KAK - FYK"
8. BANG! "unexpected Internal Error"

Warning: If you try this, you need to delete all the jumpers in the "skijumpers" folder to reopen the game.

I have this bug too. When i'm change jumper from: mask-ABCD to: mask-EFGH game crashing

Bug found and fixed for the next release. Thanks for the help.

I have this bug too so, I run Dsj as Administrator.

While waiting for the fix you can avoid the bug by not making multiple ski jumpers/teams/replays on a same base name. Differentiate them alphabetically (don't use numbers).
