Additional Lines

Post by mluki3 »

I'm not sure if this idea was already discussed, but....

My proposal is as follows:

Most of the hills (especially mamooth ones) has some additional lines after HS Line.

For example: Planica's HS is on 215m but there are lines on 220, 225, 230 and 235m if I remember correctly...

In my opinion it would make hills more realistic.

(sorry for my not ideal English) ;)

Why? mluki3 has a point - these lines are on the hills in real life, so if we strive for realism, they should be included.

1. It has been observed that lines at far distances optically shorten length of the jump
2. Lines for WR, HR, etc are already in that area, resulting in visual clutter increasing with additional lines

I don't know who has observed that, but I have a totally different feeling about it.
As You know, in DSJ2 the K-point was the last line... now the last line is HS and hills do not appear to be smaller...

Or maybe all the lines should disappear? Then all jumps will look longer.
