Fraps is the most effective solution.

Fraps is very easy to use, but use other programs, for instance virtualdub if you want hi quality. These hi-quality programs demands a much better computer than fraps of cource, and virtualdub is also a bit difficult to use (you'll have to install a couple of codecs and such things). So, fraps if you want an ok video and an easy program, virtualdub if you have a fast computer and want hi quality
