~ delete qualification start list because its unnecessary (everyone jumps at the same time so there no need for that)
~ the time in result table should be dependent on how many players are playing:
1-9 players: 5 seconds
10-19 players: 6 seconds
20-29 players: 7 seconds
30-39 players: 8 seconds
40-49 players: 9 seconds:
50+ players: 10 seconds
~ reduce cup results time from 20s to 10s (when there will be 10+ hills it could be increased back to 20s)
The qualification start list shows if you are prequalified. It's also there to sync the players with different loading times for the hill. The hill might load ~5 seconds on slower computers.
The final cup results are from now on shown only for 10 seconds.
I'm sure it was reported earlier, but it is visible especially in Lahti. 2m/s front wind vs. 2m/s back wind means that the difference between both cases is like 5 meters when it comes to how far the jumper goes after the landing. With 2m/s from the back the jumper almost hits the barrier at the end of the hill, and when the wind is 2m/s from the front, he's like 10 meters from that place.
I'm not sure if it would happen in reality, maybe in perfect conditions and constant, stable wind. In reality, there would be many things blocking that wind so it's actually impossible to tell.
Maybe you could reduce the influence the wind has on the jumper after the flight - on the outrun?
In DSJ4 plastic matting ends right at the fall line. However, official FIS documents say:
Also, stairs in the starting area are really small, they are surely narrower than two skis width. It's possible to calculate their size by looking at official results of competitions from this season or from last period of previous season and watching how in-run length changes with changing gate position.

The stairs are actually fine when it comes to their width, however absolutely not right when talking about their length. They are about half of the length of the jumper skis. This is rather irrelevant to me, not to be done in beta-2, as it would require redoing the whole hill structure. But certainly desirable in future versions.

The jumper and the hill is not in the same scale. (Compare a fallen jumper with the 5m lines and you will see that the jumper is about 7m long or something like that). This is obviously done to make the game better to play. If the jumper was in the same scale as the hill, he would look extremely small and hence difficult to control. Or, to compensate for that, one would have to use an extreme amount of zoom, and would completely loose overview of the hill.
EDIT: Sorry, should have checked before posting. I'm probably fooled by perspective in f1.

just checked and it seems all right to me... no 7 meter jumper. It may seem like that in the F1 view but thats just a matter of perspective

Sorry, you're right. Maybe somewhat tall but definately not 7. I wrote with dsj3 in memory. In f1 it really looks as 7m there in the biggest hills, but I could be wrong because of perspective in f1 (?)
The longer the mat is, the faster the jumper travels along the hill. So if you're going to put there some extra mat, the jumper will be in a greater rush than until now.
So I just thought that it would be cool if you could write your own texts in top or in the bottom of the skis it would be nice and if you could choose the colour of the text i think it would look really cool. And you could choose the font of the text. This way everyone could write what they want to the skis (like Fischer or Elan) and Jussi wouldnt have to pay copyrights or am I wrong ?
