Hmm, that's strange what you are saying. Maybe you are right, but one thing I know for sure is that beta-2 had the hardest landing system in history of DSJ. Beta-1 was muuuuch easier than 2 when you consider landing.

Yeah, that's quite good video. But I still think there is still a lot of impossible to understand random circumstances determineing if you land successfully or you fall. But it is only my opinion... :)

this games is not games series DSJ, this games is ski jumping simulator. Landing is very hard. 30-40% jumps over hs is fall no reason. Im is back to dsj3

Is the landing to learn?
Sure...

Is the landing more realistic?
I think no - (I counted the falls in GaPa in reality over the weekend and online at one Serie, where people know, that landing is difficult...) In reality the jumpers know better to land - definitly...

Should the new landig be a challenge?
For most of the activ DSJ community - Yes, obviously...
For the average player and skijumping interessted one - No - it is a challenge to be on take off on time - that is more then enough...

I think Jussis decision to make landing harder is a pro sign for the active community and a pro sign for helpers - in my eyes it is definitly a decision against the market and against newbies...

But, what I not understand: Why can I see in dsj4 so much effort to make the game more realitic - the hills, the size, etc... , but an aggressiv jumpingstyle is not possible anymore and landing is a killer criterion (and we do not talk about style here...)

the landing definetely needs a bit more training than before, but that is definetely not a bad thing. the only hill were I find it extremely difficult is indeed Bad Mitterndorf >210m and it almost doesn't matter if it is telemark landing or not.

Personally I think that the new physics/falling system is great and shouldn't be made easier. It is very realistic because like in real life you just have to let your jumper more vertical in order to slow down and successfully land the longer jumps. And when I watch a nice landing in slow motion with the F2 view, to me it looks very natural.

Yes, you can land like this, but its very hard to stand great lengths with such a technicue. The flight style of DSJ4 is also very different from Romörens, so it wouldnt be possible to make such landings work very well.
