Hello Jussi,

I am always kicked when I try to play online.
I wanted to answer the question on what hardware I am using but just too late: again "Clock error!"

I have a
Athlon XP2800+ (Barton)
1 GB DDR-RAM 400 Mhz
X800XT Sapphire Graphis
I am running a well patched WINDOWS XP SP 2.

There is no cheating software/ clocking software in background!

Do you have any clue?

I think all we affected by this agree that we do not want to wait till Winter 2008 till this is fixed, since DSJ is unplayable for us. I would therefore aks you to either kick that clocking prevention - part of DSJ that causes this errors as long as it does not run properly or refund our online fees, since we are not able to play DSJ, neithor online, nor offlline.
I sadly do not have another machine here.

Greetings, Philipp

Did you have any problems with DSJ3 v1.5.0?
I did update the clock error checking a bit for DSJ3 v1.6.0 but it should report less false positives than the previous version.

@Jussi: Is it possible that this has something to do with running background software?

It could have, though it shouldn't normally have any effect.

I never had any problems with that Ver 1.5, runned DSJ always in Win98 compatibility mode. Friends of mine also never had any problems. Tried DSJ 1.5 with VISTA on my father's notebook. No problem!
Thus, to me it seems as if there were new false positives. I am one of them!!!

I'll make you a test program so that we can analyze what the problem actually is.

There was another player having this same problem (v1.5 worked ok on his computer as well). I'll find what's wrong and release a patch soon.

Edit: About 5 players have reported this problem so far.

I'll send today a beta version to those who have reported this problem. If it works ok the public bug fix will follow soon.

@Jussi: Thank you for your fast help on this. Tested the beta just now. Sadly, the new beta does not work better than the old 1.6 did.

After 2 jumpings the game crashed again: Clock Error!

Please keep working on this! :)

Hi Jussi,

I had that "clock error" with 1.5 and now with 1.6 either (on a DuoCore Toshiba Laptop with XP SP2).

Waiting for your help.

Regards

I emailed you a link to a beta version of DSJ3 which should fix the problem. So, far it has helped in 4 out of 4 situations. I'll be releasing it publicly soon.

Had only some jumpings with the new beta 2, but DSJ worked in the way it should. No error after a maximum of 5 jumpings so far. Seems to be fixed! :)
