Could get a bit messy on your hdd. I mean imagine playing for 2-3 hours, you would get really a lot of rpl files in the directory.
Maybe just implement it as an option - 'Save all replays automatically' so you could show your all jumps after some online tournament ;)
I was thinking about something like "Save top 25 local record replays automatically". Would be really handy if it goes for analyzing jumps. But also as an option to choose ;)

Yes it would be messy, that's why I thought it would be good as an option :)

Maybe something like 'last visit statistics' in online mode? In the Online Mode Menu or somewhere after that.

Code: Select all

Last Visit: 22-11-10
Hills Jumped: 24
Rating Before: 1320
Rating After: 1280
Cups: 2x4 hills cup (1) , No rating cup (1), team cup (2) in brackets - number of starts in each cup.
Would bring nothing special to the game but could be a nice cosmetic addition ;)

Edit:

1 more idea. When leaving the online mode, during the cup, maybe there could be an additional exit information like:

Code: Select all

Do you want to exit online mode ? (You will loose "xx" points)
Something for players that are not familiar with the online mode rules ;)

Bought the game, like the previous one. Great job, Jussi!

My impressions so far, probably most have been covered but can't be bothered to read this huge thread, since there is so much clutter and profanities on these forums.

- mouse sensitivity is quite off, reducing it to 1 and lowering windows mouse settings makes it playable though

- physics and graphics improvements are great, hats off to that!

- seems much more difficult to get great jumps, which is great!

- needs CPU jumpers, don't care much for online play

- all in all, seems like a wonderful game

My suggestions:
1. CPU Players
2. While playing World Cup'u would do well to various options, such as:
- possibility to exclude a competitor from which professions / qualifications of the hill
- the possibility of including a new jumper for the game while playing in the World Cup.
- Possibility to change the color of the suit while playing in the World Cup (the competition)
- the ability to override the hill from the event, or inclusion in another game. Now, everything is fixed in advance and it is not very convenient.
- Determining the order jumpers before the first contest in the World Cup
3. In addition to the World Cup and Cup team could use a mode of "Four Hills Tournament, " "Cup"or "Olympics"
4. Slightly better physics fall. As of right now is pretty decent, but it still is, for example something that Knight can bend in half during the fall of the hill.
Sorry for English

I have already implemented settings to disable the PB, LR, WR and lead lines.

Little suggestion:
When the competitor right away pushes with his legs against the beam, a signal appears, like for example in Planica. Such sounds appear on ski-flying hills, the Olympic Games :D

So, the start sound should be played after the start and not on green light? Or should there be a green light sound as well?

If it's rubbish idea - just forget :D
@up Is it really necessary? It wouldn't have influence on game.

Many real hills have the same HS points, so that will be the case in DSJ4, too. Anyway, I will try to include a selection of hills with a variety of sizes and different kind of profiles.
