Winter Cup 2010/11 CALENDAR

Post by Martin Kafka »

There's been some discussion going on over the future of "official" Online events (Winter Cup, Four Hills Tournament, Tour de DSJ). Jani O. always took care of that, and since he switched to offline tournaments, as it seems, and we still don't know when DSJ4 is going to be released, we should come to an agreement whether we want to continue or not. This would be our 5th official winter season. Calendar would start with 27th November. I would then contact Jan-Erik for appropriate entries in his database for the new Winter Cup.
If DSJ4 came out during this season, we could either continue, or stop the competition considering achieved cup standings as final.

Marathons are not part of the Winter Cup, they'll have separate rankings.
Four Hills Tournament is part of the Winter Cup.

I also propose to organize World Championships instead of Tour de DSJ.
I'm thinking about three single events with training round(s), qualification and competition - normal hill (probably Canada), large hill (Italy?) and, in case Jussi provided technical solution, team competition - perhaps something like that will be present in the upcoming DSJ4 Online, who knows...
Please share your ideas! I guess that a little change could be a nice refreshment ;-)

Update: Database updated (credits to Jan-Erik Strøm). Enjoy the season!

Oh crap, today is Kuopio live and the Wednesday World Cup tournament is always scheduled for 7pm (for some strange reason). Postponing today's tournament is not an option, is it? Well, then ...
skill since 1337 ;)
