Pages 47, 48, 68 in the new fis rules: https://assets.fis-ski.com/f/252177/x/c ... rkedup.pdf
And a nice table in the polish wikipedia show the new classification of hills https://pl.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skoczni ... rciarskich
There is a new Giant Hill classification with K 135-164 HS 150-184 and 1,6 pts/m
Interestingly, according to FIS something with K 165-179 HS 185-199 is not a hill Maybe apply 1,4 pts/m for these hills in DSJ?
And if you will implement new pts/m, please also make it so that hills where K=HS use K for pts/m calculations so that i.e. Harrachov K180 has 1,2 pts/m

Re: New fis rules - giant hills
DSJ4 is using the K values to determine pts/m, so retro hills won't be a problem.
It's interesting indeed that there's a gap between the definition of giant and flying hills. They really should think of DSJ4 custom hills when defining the rules.
I'll have to think a bit how to handle this. The old replay files e.g. have the points stored in their metadata based on the old meter values.

Re: New fis rules - giant hills
Ooops, I meant points for reaching K value - it should be 120 pts, but on Harrachov K180 it's 60 pts, so the jump points are weirdly low compared to other ski flying hills.Jussi Koskela wrote: ↑15 Aug 2024, 20:58 DSJ4 is using the K values to determine pts/m, so retro hills won't be a problem.

Re: New fis rules - giant hills
On background info, these new rules are put into motion because Harrachov wants to renew their hills and will start with the now K125 which will be transformed into such a giant hill.
Or supposedly should be transformed. With Harrachov I will only start to believe it once it's in progress
Interestingly this also opens up the possibilty to make WIllingen bigger

Re: New fis rules - giant hills
I have now implemented the new meter value & hill classification rules for the upcoming release.
I decided that the hills with HS 185-199 will also be considered as giant hills and the meter value for hills with K 165-179 will be 1.4 pts/m.
I also fixed the support for legacy hills whose size is defined by K-point (K=HS), so that their size classification will be based on the K-point value instead of HS.
Old replays will show the points according to the original calculation.

Yes, Harrachov K180 will be considered as a ski flying hill and K will be worth 120 points.
