Website improvement: Hill record database

Post by MikesCZ »

1. Add third party hill records to https://www.mediamond.fi/dsj4/hillrecords/. These records exist in database and can be viewed inside the game, but you cannot view the database when jumping. If the same is available on website then you can do both at the same time.

2. Add new filter for hill type/category. One of the achievements in DSJ is the "Total length" which counts personal bests of the 24 original hills. It would be interesting to also see total length of different hill categories - custom hills, normal hills, flying hills etc. (similar like how online servers are categorized)

In my opinion: This is looking great, but for TL, I'll get only hills, that are in Real life World Cup.

Yes, why not. But in theory you could display for each jumper several different "TL"....like World cup TL, original hills TL, DSJ2 hills TL and so on. So if you get bored improving one TL, you could start working on another one. It gives people more reasons to play imo.

Perhaps not fun for you, but fun for others. My main point is that it is easy to display this data, shouldn't be any big development.
