Auto-save after each jump in offline mode
Auto-save after each jump in offline mode
To my mind it would be nice to introduce auto-save after each jump in offline mode. Then, everyone could play offline his own full competitions with for example 70 jumpers without rush (watch each replay, enjoy a development of competition), and just turn off the game in any moment without losing current results and resume it in any time.

The reason why this has not been implemented is that you could save a perfect wind that way.

True wordsJussi Koskela wrote:The reason why this has not been implemented is that you could save a perfect wind that way.

But i think after the qualification and first round it could be possible without many working hours.

The wind is pretty similar for the different rounds.

Re: Auto-save after each jump in offline mode
I thought you ment the wind of one jump.
The user can jump, sees the wind is good (maybe 2,1-2,2m/s from gate 18) und than starts the jump new until he get a really good one down to the WR line.
If i jump with all 60 Players of the current WC-Season it takes me nearly half an hour to bring all down and the wind changes nearly every jump from 1,2 to 2,4m/s.

Well Jussi, no offence, but im tired of this. You dont give a... about single player mode. Everything is about online, and im fine with that, its up to you. But i feel tricked, that im always waiting for new info about SP mode and im always dissapointed.
Im not gonna buy your game. Because im not gonna check progress anymore. Ive read that you wont include CPU jumpers in next version. It would be more professional to type big message on your side: GET LOST OFFLINE PLAYERS. Anyway goodluck with project.

I have spent hundreds, if not thousands, of hours in offline. Never against CPU jumpersLord_Chrupek wrote:Well Jussi, no offence, but im tired of this. You dont give a... about single player mode. This is interesting. You have not yet been spending any money to the game and you feel like you have been tricked? I was about to paste here the list of what you get when you buy the game and questioning if those have been violated by any means. But you have played(?) the game for free and feel the someone is pulling your leg?Lord_Chrupek wrote:Well Jussi, no offence, but im tired of this. You dont give a... about single player mode. Imagine that someone is playing songs in public and has a stock of cd's recorded with his own music. You walk by occasionally and stop to listen for a while and keep moving out again. This repeats few times a week and you get annoyed by the fact that the musician has not picked up another instrument for a while. Then you start shouling to other people how disappointed you are that the musician has not improved subtantially and you feel tricked having spent your time listening to music!

Re: Auto-save after each jump in offline mode
Funny and completely wrong:] Yes i feel tricked, because will be much easier for anybody who spend time in searching news about game, to know that this game actually NEVER GONNA BE FRIENDLY FOR OFFLINE PLAYERS. thats it. I dont care about online, because i have no time for that. thats why i look for features, that are interesting for single player (CPU players, save game etc). I dont see nothing wrong in my attitude.Zmaster wrote:This is interesting. You have not yet been spending any money to the game and you feel like you have been tricked? dont want to be rude, but i felt from long time (not since i registered here, wayyyy longer) that it will become like that: this game wont ever be friendly for SP. Thats why i didnt spend my money for full version (and it comes, that i wont do that ever).
I can accept any outcome, of Jussi's development, but why it has to be so 'secret'? If such simple features (which were since start in DSJ series) are so problematic, all topics about f.eg. CPU players should be LOCKED. Everyone could gain - you: no more whiners on forum, and me: no need to look for news from time to time.

Me too! For me, it's the most important thing to have CPU-Players so that I can jump a tournament offline, would be interesting to know when we can have it...

Yeah thanks for that link, but ive read that topic. I said earlier, that im looking new infos from time to time. Maybe we will see that feature, maybe not. Anyway, no need for further offtop here. Chrup out.
Re: Auto-save after each jump in offline mode
You can notice that there are so many ideas/issues considered here on forum, that reffering to a specific one is quite hard.
I admit that most of them are about online game, but as an offline player myself i don't feel missed out in anyway
Just a bit of patience and understanding would solve the problem i think

Re: Auto-save after each jump in offline mode
Could be... maybe im just frustrated because i was waiting for CPU players in next update... but as someone stated before: i didnt payed the game, so i cant complain. Its fair and square; im just no more interested in that game, because playing offline isnt exciting (no matter how many hills Jussi want to add). And im not gonna buy this game, because i feel its crippled outside the multi.
