Jussi please make the landing easier - please comment guys!

Hi!


I have played the final version of dsj 4 for many hours now and i totally love the looks and the gameplay. Its a huge step up from the beta version. So thanks a lot Jussi!!!

Nonetheless, one thing takes a lot of the fun away:
It is too difficult to land long jumps!

I have tried every tip given: I leaned back before the landing, pressed about 1 second before landing, tried one button first and then the second, even tried too land without telemark.

But still i crash about 50% of the long jumps! And i know that many of the other players have the problems as well. I think that it is the most urgent matter to fix as most events are won not by the players with the longest jumps but by the ones who land them... This takes a lot of the fun away!
I think it should be possible to make a safe telemark before HS and a safe two foot-landing behind HS!


I know that this has been adressed before in this forum but i wanted to stress the urgence again.
So please guys, if u agree than write a short comment so that jussi knows this is important!

It's good that its hard. There are too many games nowadays that are too easy. All it takes is practise, alot of practise.

Jussi,landing isn't good,i do not fall so much but,when 30 peoples fall ,there is some problem ...

The mass falling is because majority got used to the easy landing in beta 2. People just have to learn the landing from a scratch.

I agree with Zmaster in this. It also creates a whole new aspect to online jumping: If you see your jump in Kulm is gonna go too far, will you test your luck or interrupt and land at 210m?

Zmaster you are right,but he can make just little bit easier,too many lose ratings and start to annoying me,i dont know how to do it,what first left and then right or what? Tell me more about it..

That is precisely the problem: if you interrupt the jump you come down even from more high and fall again

My jumps in Planica looks like Simon Ammann and not like Evensen...

let`s hope many people give their voices so we know what the majority wants.
I believe a slight adjustment (sth. between beta and final version) would please the majority. Diego Dellasega also meant it`s too hard in his oppinion. I asked him to comment about it in the forum.

I can´t remember to have seen him jumping 220m at Kulm

It`s good when the landing is difficult. The max. distance will not be so unrealistic like in other Ski jumping games.

This isn't new aspect to online game. With this landing is not important who is good jumper but who not fall. Two legs landing is too hard, telemark is good. I thing Jussi could be change it in next version.

Make It Easier!

I always Jump 218m+ in Kulm And i fall all Jumps Because Jumper Always Goes Thru The Skies and i have Tested So Many Landing Techniques.
I land Only in 215 m jumps. Telemark Landing Is Good Right Now But Two Footed Landing Is Close To Telemark Landing.
In Long Jumps in Every Hill Impact in Landing is Too hard So its Impossible To Land it Even if u fly Low.
Fly low = Speed too much to Land
Fly High = Impact In Landing is too Much
Jussi Should Make Landing Easier Because All Jumpers hate That They Always Fall In Record Jumps and -->
They Start Use Hacks and World Records would Mess Up.
I know All Says : "Its Perfect dont Change it! U r Hero Jussi!"
But Truth is Landing isnt Perfect and Players Mind Will Change about it.
Maybe Landing Is More Realistic but Players doesnt Enjoy it because They Always Fall. And we Want it More "Player Friendly".
Yes it Takes Time To Learn Landing but u Cant Land in Longer Jumps.
But if Jussi Change It Game will be Better and then
all Players Says: "Yeess Ty Jussi!!! U r Hero!!"
But before Jussi will Say: "But then Flying and Jumping Physics will go Bad"
I think Jussi Can Do Like This:
When Player Clicks Mouse to Try Land Legs Would Become Stronger or all joints will be less "Spagethi" so Landing Would Be Easier.
