I don't know how much effort it would be to reprogram. But an idea would be to calculate the two best jumps out of three. For exemple quali jump and second competition jumps are the best, then take out the first competion jump, like I saw it already in real jumpings too.
I don't see much point in jump a quali and then sort out again after the first competition jump.

Aren't the FIS-rules point enough?!?
