I have the impression that speed is cruicial here, more so than in most other hils. Hence I've tried to look for somewhat less wind than normally.
Normally, when offline hunting records, I like wind yhat goes from 3,0 or a little more at the beginning of the jump and up to about 4,0 at the landing.
My best jump in Russia is 234,68 m. The wind was about 2,0 at the top, 2,5 when the jump starts and 3,5 at the landing. Really quick out in position. I jump in the same style as in, say, Poland or Bulgaria.
Hope this can be helpful?

My strategy:
Go UP at the beginning and then "lay on the wind" .

Yeah, I just tried that a couple of hours ago. Did 15 jumps with 4 over 220 and a best of 224 meters. Quite pleased with that since I hate that hill and rarely get past 215 meters. Same goes for Romania.

1. Download the replay into your Replay-Folder
(mostly: C:\program files\deluxe ski jump 3\user files\replays)
2. Start DSJ
3. --> Replays
4. Click on the desired replay to watch it ...

For my replay, go about like this:

1. Click the link
2. Choose "open"
3. Click the actual file
4. Choose "save"
5. Choose "save as..."
6. Save the file in the "replays"-file, which you find here:

Local disc (C: )
-Programfiles
-De Luxe Skijump 3
-User files
-Replays

7. Start DSJ3, choose "replays", and (hopefully) there it is...

For Torstens replay:

1. Click the link with right mouse button
2. Choose "save target as..." (or whatever it is called in english)
3. Save the file in the "replays"-file etc.

Are you able to watch them now?
