DSJ4 v1.11.0 postponed to November 27th

Post by Jussi Koskela »

The release of DSJ v1.11.0 has been postponed to Sunday, November 27th.

I have been working VERY hard to release the update today on time, but there are still few things to polish in the game. This will be the biggest update in DSJ4 for a long time, so I want everything to be perfect.

I'll add tonight 25 new custom hills to DSJ4 Online / global hill records lists, so that you have something to enjoy while waiting.
Thank you for your patience!

Do you mean that 1.7-1.10 were smaller than 1.11 or that 1.11 will be bigger than future updates? :)

I compared to 1.7-1.10. They had fewer changes to the game itself than 1.11, so this update requires more testing and polishing.

Not yet in v1.11.0. I am planning to focus to cup configurability in v1.12.

Cup configurability? Hell, yeah! It's amazing that this game still gets updates. Thanks, Jussi.

It's nice to see that a future update (1.12) will focus a bit more on offline mode. The game definitely needs that.
I also think that the game needs some "refreshing". I mean changes in the appearance of the menu, scoreboards. Maybe even something like custom hud? Any chance for something like this in the future?

Jussi, it looks very nice, although not everything is done in such detail, I think about the gloves, there is still a thumb separately, the rest of the fingers are together.

True. As I heard v 1.12 update will be much more focused at the cups. If that's true, then I would like to suggest few things:
- Add Raw Air, Nations Cup Championship Tables (for example)
- Add "Watch CPU Jumpers" - calculation of their movements would be based on the records of the players as well (in that way - that it would analyze replays & movements of various jumps - ranging from the worst ones to the best ones, and it would be adapted to the sliders to be the most reliable)
- Ability to save qualification & ongoing WC at any time, any moment

That's few of mine suggestions. However, not releated to cup suggestions top 3 I want is:
- Minifaces of Jumpers when their name is shown (like in real life)
- Auto replays
- A Beta Testing new jumping style that you would also change in Player Creation, that wouldn't be "too OP" and having it, you would jump the same as other styles (to be more fair)
