DSJ doesn´t run after installing a new monitor

I´m playing DSJ from the first day it has been released and never had any problems!

Yesterday i bought a new monitor (LG W2242) and installed the drivers for the monitor.

After that when i start DSJ i only see a black screen (mousepointer is visible) and i cannot do anything and have to restart the PC.
Setup doesn´t help - i select my 3dadapter and set resulution to 1600x1050 - but after starting DSJ (and crash and restart of PC) i see in setup that the resultuion has been set back to 1280x1024.

My graphics card is NVIDEA GeForce 7900 GT.
