Right moment for leaving a online-competition?

Post by Torsten »

@Jussi:
When do i have to go offline without losing skill-points?
Some days ago I left after the 2nd jump and my points for winning on this hill weren't counted.
Yesterday I left at the WC-Standings-table and i lost 19 points again (the next hill screen wasn't loaded yet!)
So, when is the right moment to leave :?:

Yes, this would be the WC Standings table, but maybe you have to exit without pressing the ready button. This is what I do, and I've never lost any points.

The answer to your question, Thomas :)

But, Jussi. What happens if the server crashes?

The right moment to leave the online cup used to be between the competitions at the world cup standings screen. If you lost points when leaving at this screen it was most probably caused by network lag.

Today I updated the server rules, so that you can leave the online cup also at the qualification start list screen before the actual competition has started or at the competition final results screen after the competition has finished. So, from now on you will get rating penalty only if you disconnect while the competition is actually running.

The intermediate results of the ongoing competition won't affect the ratings if the server crashes. But all previous updates to the ratings will be preserved.
