History of Top 10 in World Cup

Post by Risen »

I had a long night so I made this one. Compilation of all 112 jumpers that ever ended in top 10 World Cup. The table includes seasons and places they took as well as summary - amount of times in top 10, average position and score based on formula "amount of times in top 10 / average position".

Do what you want with that :)

Really interesting stats, always love such things!
Can you check 49 + 64 though -> Werner Haim twice.

Two hours or less. I also got all-time stats for individual WR, FWR and Olympic medals and top 5s of 4HT.

Here is the table if anyone's interested. http://www.mediafire.com/?gh6ouk1ubhb1z1a

* End of 2011/2012 season, three 'debutants' - Daiki Ito (4), Richard Freitag (6), Roman Koudelka (10).
* Equalized record of season 2004/05 - 7 jumpers with more than 1000 points in the end of the season. Before they were Ahonen, Ljoekelsoey, Hautamaeki, Malysz, Hoellwarth, Janda and Morgenstern.
* Fourth smallest difference between first and the second jumper.
1. 10 (Ahonen - Ljoekelsoey 2004)
2. 19 (Peterka - Funaki 1998)
3. 32 (Goldberger - Nikola 1996)
4. 58 (Schmitt - Ahonen 1999, Bardal - Schlierenzauer 2012)

About my "scores"
Morgenstern from 1,78 to 1,88, he's 8th.
Schlierenzauer from 1,39 to 1,80, he's 10th.
Kofler from 0,73 to 1,00, he's 23rd now.
Bardal from 0,27 to 0,56, he's 42nd now.
Stoch from 0,10 to 0,27, he's 64th.
Freund from 0,14 to 0,27, he's 64th.
Ito is with 0,25 is 69th.
Kranjec from 0,10 to 0,21, he's 76th.
Freitag with 0,17 is 83rd.
Koudelka with 0,10 is 106th.

Really nice !

I will try to present here stats about national records in ski jumping. I have difficulties with tracking records below 200 metres.

Sven Hannawald 8th in 2004/05 season ?! What were you smoking ?
