Re: Real Name
The town is called Tauplitz. Kulm is the name of the hill (jumping hill), the hill (geographic, where the jumping hill is built) is called "Kulmkogel".
I think Bad Mitterndorf is the next bigger town in this area (3073 people) and better known than Tauplitz (1027 people).
But you are right: Kulm is in Tauplitz and not Bad Mitterndorf.

Re: Real Name
Bad Mitterndorf sounds much better than Tauplitz.

Re: Real Name
I didn't use the recent "official" full name "Tauplitz / Bad Mitterndorf HS200" since the slash character cannot be used in any of the file names (replays, results, hill files).

Re: Real Name
I think Bad Mitterndorf is a better choice than Tauplitz, because also in Austria we say Bad Mitterndorf or just Kulm (and then everyone thinks about Bad Mitterndorf). Even in Styria Tauplitz is not as common as Bad Mitterndorf.Jussi Koskela wrote:I didn't use the recent "official" full name "Tauplitz / Bad Mitterndorf HS200" since the slash character cannot used in any of the file names (replays, results, hill files).
Re: Real Name
Perhaps you could make some code to check and change the characters in-game? Something like "check if contains "++"" "if yes, "++" -> "/""Jussi Koskela wrote:I didn't use the recent "official" full name "Tauplitz / Bad Mitterndorf HS200" since the slash character cannot be used in any of the file names (replays, results, hill files).

Re: Real Name
I do something like that already for other files, but still decided to use the shorter version of the name.TPo wrote:Perhaps you could make some code to check and change the characters in-game? Re: Real Name
as people say: Bad Mitterndorf is better recognized than Tauplitz, so no need to change it

Re: Real Name
Yes and mario
The Kulm is the mountain where the hill stands and the hill is exactly between Tauplitz and Bad Mitternendorf
