Jussi, is gibbon really help in takeoff? I mean, if gibbon is strong, can you jump farther than without it? In which hills it helps most? I see from lists that most top 5 use gibbon...

Maciej wrote to me what Jussi wrote to Heikki: '[...] Gibbon probably helps because you get extra air pressure for a short period + some extra rotation to quickly reach good flying position.' I think it should be enough for you.

Just see any of Maciej Sylwestrzuk jumps, e.g. this http://dsj24.pl/replays/424-Manuzieg-228.0-227.76.rpl (move it to Documents\DSJ4\Replays folder). It's a specific move after the takeoff.

Just a follow up question regarding this:
I played DSJ2 3 and 4 regularly, but have been out of the game for quite some time, so the "Gibbon" is new to me.
Is this done at real time or are there slowdown involved like in DSJ2?

And generally: are people using macros nowadays for the left & right click at takeoff?

Well, maybe some do it with slowdown but it's also proved that it's possible without. There were videos on youtube where players filmed their jumping with camera and did gibbon and there was no slowmotion used. Haven't heard of any macros in this game. I think it's pretty easy to click them at the same time anyway.
