The new version will be available for downloading at: http://www.mediamond.fi/dsj3/downloads/

Most of the changes will be to the online game and they are the ones which have been mostly requested by the players. The changes include:

New features:
-possibility to rejoin an online tournament without losing world cup points
-equal winds to all online players as a server option
-possibility to add players to the friend list during the online tournaments
-players on the friend list are shown highlighted in the result lists
-possibility to chat in the lobby
-possibility to export qualification, competition and cup stats to text-files
-support for wide-screen monitors
-faster stats screen updates in the online tournaments (no lag even with hundreds of players)
-minor changes to the menu layouts
-the jumping instructions are now included inside the game
-updated world cup rules for season 2007-2008
*only the best 10 (was 15) from the world cup qualify automatically
*if you crash you have to reach 95% (was 90%) of the longest jump to qualify

Bugs fixed:
-ctrl-r key combination works now on windows 95/98/ME to watch replays
-less false alarms on slowdown prevention (i.e. clock error)
-the online game stats won't get out of sync any more
-the rank of all ski jumpers are now shown properly in world cup
-cup autosave settings preserved when the cups are loaded

Its good to hear about new version, but I'm not happy about only a few changes to not-online game. I still hope, that in next time you will add some graphic extras (for example tribunes, judges tower etc.)

Hmm.. there's already a judge tower since the first version. Only the judge figures are missing.
Graphical improvements always mean a lower frame rate and I would like that DSJ3 works fluently on lower end computers, too.

Graphic features are not necessary anyway... However I would have liked reworked physics ... but still will be funny to jump again :)

Jussi I know that there are only few days left before the release of the new version, but still I would ask you about that change in online mode, that the longest jump in round is highlighted in different colour than other jumps. I think that would not take too much time to change (correct me if I'm wrong:)) but I think that in online competition (especially now with same wind) it would be a very valuable information for all the players. You would easily see how far it's possible to jump with a certain +/- wind and that's important info for all who wish to improve their jumping technique even more.

I hope that it doesn't take too much to include this change into next version.

I am going to subscribe for the online version this week. Will I need a new subscription code to play online with Version 1.6 if I played with 1.5 before?

Thanks in advance for your information!! :)

The old registration keys and old subscription codes will be valid for DSJ3 v1.6.0 as well.

I mean more detail judge tower. Only one what is worse in dsj3 than other ski jumping games is graphic effects. Think about it. I just love DSJ3. and I think it is completly great and the best game all over the world, and I really want to make this game better.[/quote]

Ok, done. The longest jump of the round will be highlighted both in the online mode and in offline mode.

Ahh, this is great news. Guess I'll start playing again now that the winter-season starts. :)

From the list of improvements it seems you've done exactly the things I was hoping for!
