Might be senseless to ask: What will be the Hardware requirements for DSJ 4? Just asking because I am going to play it a lot on my notebook.

Hardware requirements: TBA. I don't know them yet. :)

Naturally the requirements will be higher than for DSJ3. The new physics engine puts some extra burden to the CPU and the improved graphics require a faster GPU. Anyway I'll keep the level of detail customizable, so that as many people as possible will be able to enjoy the game.

Does this mean that DSJ 4 will be not released this winter, but 2010/11?

OK. I thought that the release date was December 2009 or so. I understand that it will probably come later? Is that right?

DSJ4 won't be available this year. Spring 2010 maybe. End of year 2010 maybe. 2011 hopefully not!

Beta

Post by Solan »

It would be nice if Jussi released the first hill as a beta
Would be nice to try :D

Would it be possible to release the new version one hill at the time, mayby one hill every month. Then we would have something new to look forward to for more than 3 years !

People.. I also create games so let me say something... It is really bad thing if there's a pressure on game developer to show something to the community. It has to take time to make everything work perfect. So it will be better if we wait longer t receive beta with less number of bugs than receive it earlier with thousands of them...

Tip for Jussi: You could update the site with some screens more often to feed those hungry fans :D It's really a big thing for them to see even a screen from DSJ4 ;)
