Yesterday, I had a online-discussion with 2 other german players:
Why are there no rating points for the final place at the end of a tournament? For example, in the normal world cup with 40 hills, everybody is rated after each hill and gets rating points (+ or -). But at the end of the tournament, there is no award for those who jumped constantly in this tournament. For example, the first 3 (or 5, or 10) jumpers can get points for the final place. How many points you get depends on the number of opponents, your own rating, the rating of the other players...
Anyway, it would be an additional appeal to finish all the hills in one tournament because at the moment, you can quit after each hill and it doesnt matter if you lose your place in the overall-ranking.
What's the opinion of the other players and Jussi?
