Hill records - DSJ Offline vs DSJ Online

Post by artsz »

Dear Jussi
I think that to introduce separate classification hill records for DSJ online
Why ?
DSJ Online it is realistic game , games be hold in real time
Players compete with different competitors and not with computer
And it does not have possibility of repetition of jump it does not have possibility of placing of wind ,whether using from different help also
Creation of separate classification gave to more satisfaction from game in internet .
And improvement of hill record in time of game offline is practically impossible , as everybody know they are this strongly inflated got results into different way
As to make this ?
I think that it suffices to cut out 1,5 possibility of game offline from version , then it will become created game only online
In version offline to leave demo online with possibility of ransom of patch online
Then they can exist two classifications one from version 1,5 , second from version 1,6 ( for example )
This only one icon more on desktop and how many fun
I ask consider this proposal , I think that to make attractive it is proper so splendid game DSJ is which

I am totally agree with you Artur, online records would be great.

Jussi: You said online that you couldn't understand why offline and online were different, and why they would need seperate hillrecord-tracking... Well, here Artur have given you the answer

Yes. :) Would be great to have own list to online records too, especially now when 1.6 list is spoiled and there isn't much reasons to hunt records anymore... Jumping records is much more difficult in online than offline and that list would add nice new motivation to online jumping for long time. Much of fun.

It's true that there is possibility that cheaters will mess things also in online someday, but maybe we shouldn't reject nice idea only because of worst scenario. I don't think we have problem with cheaters in online at the moment.

Yes, yes, yes I support yours idea Jani, it would be great to hunt for new records while online jumping. I also lost my motivation for any improvments coz of S.P and J.J. I really doubt that the will join online jumping and hopefully the online list wouldn't be spoiled.

Agree 100% also.

Just as in track&field, where there are indoor and outdoor lists that aren't compared to each other.
A new online list would be fun!! Perhaps it would also attract more jumpers to buy the online reg key !? More jumpers, more fun and always share the pleasure of pb:s, wr:s with other players online.

I also think that online cheating is possible.
Offline chaters can also cheat online !!!

Why don´t see chaters online ?
I Think, the cheaters would not confront with fair jumpers.

For computer Specialists its no problem to cheat.
They can make a modificated version of dsj 3 or change code with microsoft visual studio . Its very easy, believe me.

It wouldnt be fair to make a new ranking list for all the people who have jumped very well and made some great pbs you have to look at it from that point of view and I think there should be both offline and online hill records and stuff. We dont all cheat offline you know so please dont think that because I for one dont cheat offline I just jump using the techniques that I have learned and make some nice pbs anyway thats all I wanted to say.

Jussi, it would be a good idea to make seasons (winter 2007/2008, summer 2008, winter 2008/2009 etc.) and season hill records. And also monthly, weekly and daily rankings of best jumps

Jaluvka nad Pfleger are not able to be first every day
