There is no need for increasing maximum wind in my humble opinion. No competition takes places when there's a wind of 3-4 m/s. They stop competitions when it's below 2 m/s. Well, it's good to look at wind factor points. It's very rare that jumpers get points equal to 2 m/s (and if it happens, it's a...

New system allows veterans to start again without doing months of training during hours they don't have. I'm of different opinion. Switching from DSJ3 to DSJ4 maybe isn't such a big deal compared to switching from DSJ2 to DSJ3, yet with my first jumps, I find DSJ4 quite hard to understand at the be...

Well, you're an expert here so there's not much left for discussion. ;) Anyway, what you wrote about Schlierenzauer - actually a lot of Austrian jumpers jump like that now, it's hard to see now what I described in Morgenstern's style, he did that when he was younger (probably during the time when Ma...

Yes, firstly Małysz doesn't do that anymore (I really didn't know what you meant at first, I don't understand your English) and secondly it's an unnecessary thing. What we've got now in DSJ4 is more like Stephan Hocke style or other similar jumpers who don't lean out almost at all. It's totally unre...

Alright, then imagine you play at university with ~10 mates, it's a closed connection (on-line but nobody outside university can join because it's university's server) in a World Cup competition. The first jumps with 2.5 m/s in the back, the last one jumps with frontal wind of 2.5 m/s. How is that f...

Well, I finally jumped over K-point so it's a matter of practice. However, I don't like the position jumpers take in air, it just doesn't seem natural. I guess that's one of the reasons why so many people had problems getting used to steering after playing in DSJ3. Well, here the jumper is not stiff...

I noticed this as well. When we have a tailwind, the jumper gets a higher speed after take-off. I don't think this reflects how it is in real life, this is probably the game engine fault that it somehow adds to the speed of a jumper when the wind is from the back and it shows decreased speed when th...

Wind Factor for Flying Hills
I can't figure out how to count points for wind conditions on Flying Hills. The formula given out by FIS here is wrong. It should be: pts = wind * [(HS - 36)/20] * 1.8 for large hills It worked for large hill in Klingenthal at least. First let's look at this large hills parameters. They're here in a...
