Re: The future of DSJ
I still think it would be great if Jussi put up the source code as GPLv3. Then anyone could continue the project. Although, truthfully, a complete remake is probably a better idea. I wish I had the money to work on it myself.

Re: Ideas & suggestions for next beta/full version
Jussi -- consider implementing per-player choice of axis. For some mice, inverting the Y-axis would make it easier to play. And some players might even prefer using the X-axis.

Re: Continued control of the avatar after landing.
I'm not opposed to this, but it should probably be optional. when I'm playing off-line, I usually just want to set records or practice before going on-line, so I wouldn't want to bother with this.

Re: Polish Wikipedia corrects the error...
I don't think Jussi would need a license to use the proper names. that should be a trademark issue rather than an license issue, no? if so, they should be easily obtainable, if that's even necessary.

Re: implementing weight/height
@bulwa11 you wouldn't lose meters if the sliders' min/max limits were sane. this would only result in different flight styles, *not* advantages in the form of jumper A can't reach the length of jumper B, because jumper A is taller. rather, jumper A would merely have to use a slightly altered flight ...

Re: Record (PB & WR) major change - my idea!
Actually I was planning to implement a system in which every PB replay would be sent to the server and would then be available to all other players (I mentioned that yesterday at the online tournament). It's not feasible to check the authenticity at the server-side but other players could then repo...

implementing weight/height
any chance of seeing this? I think Jussi should consider implementing it at least with regards to aesthetics. I realise that implementing this with regards to physics is a different story entirely. but as a starting point, weight/height sliders affecting looks alone would be really cool. I think thi...

Re: Crash Physics
my point is that your understanding of what constitutes realism is lacking or just wrong. realism equals approximating real life. DSJ attempts representing real life ski jumping, and to a great degree actually succeeds - thus it is realistic. and so are loads of other games.

Re: Crash Physics
Oh please, could you quote where I said that? I can't find it. OK. here you say that DSJ is unrealistic, as well as going to state that in fact *all* games are unrealistic: No. (in response to someone who said that DSJ is realistic) In my opinion, all games are unrealistic. Especially this one. her...
