Re: Our hero Severin

@Severin: Thanks for the greetings yesterday. Much appreciated. :D (We were again in Willingen with the DSJ Banner.) (By the way, glad to have seen you not (!) again today after the jumping was cancelled and the local club arranged a little jumping on an improvisational hill. Boyed-Clowes crashed an...

Re: Our hero Severin

Fot those of you, who missed the Severin Banner this weekend or me during the last months and years. I'm personally to busy for serious training and had to quit DSJ, sadly! However, I still follow the news here and practice occasionally. I resp. we were again there. This time 4/5th row behind the ex...

Have you seen Uhrmann’s jump, announced as his last one? Makes me feel so miserable... Because it's just not fair! Uhrmann was never much too lucky in his career. I think e.g. back to his broken/destroyed foot in Sapporo 2007, when he was able to win. He really deserves a better Goodbye than being k...

Based on several requests: @Jussi: People open threds dealing with the same topics nearly every day. It seems that the forum now really needs a moderator who has an eye on new topics. Makes the forum hard to read because the sheer number of similar threads must confuse everybody here. Would be great...

This question arises for years now. I wondered if there was an editor at times of DSJ 1. :) Jussi always didn't want to release one, because he obviously thought he would give away control over his software with such a tool. Another point might be, that Jussi would have to programm a nice interface ...

Be that as it may. I think that we can assume that Jussi will only be able to release a fistful hills in Version 1.0 and add some new hills every year. So, the question is, which hills are of most interest here. (A poll might be a good idea.) And concerning the names: There's nothing illegal about u...

Thanks for the hints. Helped me a lot. :) Controlling the jumper while flying is understood now. I still wonder how the take off works. Like Dan (above) I get my best results when pushing gently upside to minimize the updraft of the Ski. But doing so, I cut my jump off. (I don't know if that's the r...

How to

I'm a bit embarressed to say this, but I honestly don't understand the new control. My jumper either is quite upright in the air and possibly falling on his back most times. Or he does a front flip, if I try to accelerate and take the speed with my jump from the table. Jussi's instructions say that ...

First of all: Great work Jussi. New system allows veterans to start again without doing months of training during hours they don't have. It's actually quite difficult for me beat and understand the new system. I mean, I understand how it should work, but I don't get it. Like EyTschej said the Skis f...

Ah.
Well. I would prefer an optional link to the current table with the World Cup Standings and the strengths of each jumper adjusted according to the current place.

By the way: There are some restraints in some countries inherent with facebook and privacy. I don't know about the situation in Finland, but I would carefully check how much facebook is allowed in your country.

I was too busy this week, but finally managed checking my pictures from Willingen. I visited the table some times during my training the other week and finally decided to take a tour in the afternoon. I had been up there for several times during the Jumping-Weekends, but never seen the rooms inside....
