Re: Urgent: Fix Online Tournament Fairness in DSJ4
Personally I start the jump right away, but I don't understand how waiting is "unfair" when anyone can do it. Nobody's forcing you to start your jump immediately. Besides, I sometimes eat/drink or do other things between jumps and the 5 seconds help me get prepared in time to jump. On the ...

Re: DSJ4 Update
I think he has already answered somewhere that he doesn't have an approximate release date yet. I'm sure he will announce it when he gets closer to finishing the update, just be patient.

Re: Online Tournament Revolution
This is one of those ideas that sounds good at first... but then you think about it for 5 seconds and quickly realize that it makes absolutely no sense.

Re: National Cup for Mixed Nations
In my opinion, it would make more sense to just replace National Cup with a different tournament. We only have 1 day (Sunday) for a very large number of hills, so it would be nice to have a Thursday Special as well... or maybe something like HS300+ hills, all KO tournament (as suggested here ) or so...

Re: Save camera settings by hill
I remembered this idea again after Sunday's fictional hill tournament, where I had trouble with the take-off and landing at some of the hills, and I wasn't the only one. It may seem like a little thing, but I feel like it would drastically improve the playability of some hills - especially the very ...

Re: Gibbon - #FIX_Gibbon
If you compare DSJ 4 to real jumps, then you can see the difference between, for example, Maciej Kot and Dawid Kubacki. They both have skis and both of them make take-off, but that's where it ends, one will jump 100m and the other will jump 140m, one has the skill, the other doesn't.How do you imagi...

Save camera settings by hill
I use the F1 camera and some hills are very inconvenient to jump at from the default camera angle. Currently there is an option to save custom camera settings globally and switch to the default camera if needed, but since the positioning differs very much on some hills, having 2 camera angles to cho...

Re: Gibbon - #FIX_Gibbon
Agree with the suggestion to implement anti-gibbon and create new record database and freeze the old one but keep it in read only mode. Make it DSJ5 if needed, we will buy it. EDIT: include offline record hunt mode to it to encourage sales I definitely agree that if there's going to be a record res...

Re: Gibbon - #FIX_Gibbon
I did earlier a quick experiment how the game would look with anti-gibbon system: https://www.mediamond.fi/images/dsj4-anti-gibbon.mp4 So, technically it might be possible to prevent the usage of gibbon style, but it has existed for so long, that changing the rules at this point might not be very r...

Re: Just wanted to say thanks for a great game
thanks again. Although there is one thing I do not fully understand, why the dev chose to lock controls to mouse only I agree that DSJ could be really fun to play with a joystick/controller, but I don't think it would be possible to be competitive with it. DSJ fans are already used to playing with ...

Re: Ideas & suggestions for next beta/full version
Time + day + weather adjustment will probably be in 1.12. There is already a good place for it at the same screen as the competition bib settings. Adjustable wind is more controversial topic. This entire discussion about setting the wind just makes no sense to me. I have yet to see a single valid a...

Re: Online changes
How about some other, more fun game modes? Like last man standing, or knockout competition? Like a round of KO and then winners get paired for second round of KO, and so on until there is only a winner. Super fun. We don't need to be strict in the realistic world cup qualification and two rounds, e...

Re: Heikki Haikonen finally talks
The argument that record hunting mode would "devalue the records" is officially dead. The cheated records have been there for YEARS, the Lillehammer record for more than 7 years, and nobody could prove they were cheated. In that case, I would say the records already hold no value whatsoeve...
