You are right, that is a cliff jump by a dead man. He killed himself by skiing out bounds at Snowbird UT before the season started,died in an Avalanche
2 days ago. World record holder for the highest ever cliff jump at 225ft.

Here is the 1972 first Ski Flying Event held at Copper Peak. Going to be more work getting the ESPN 1989 video up. Must split it to fit into my 2gb youtube upload limit.

Been on Vacation just 5 miles down the road from Copper Peak Ski Flying Hill since last Tuesday staying at Big Powderhorn Ski Resort. They finally opened up for the season today 6/15/2011. Will be on vacation about 6 miles down the road this June for 2 weeks. Going to check it out. Last Time we were there was in 95.
Previous year was the last time they jumped here. Would be great to get them back in operations.
