Tour de DSJ

Post by Bernhard Birkeland »

Hey!
I got a suggestion about a new kind of tournament.

It will be played 6 days in a week.
Monday: 2xsmall hills (16 hills total)
Tuesday: 2 x medium hills (16 hills total)
Wed.day: 2 x big hills (16 hills total)
Thursday: 2 X huge hills (16 hills total)
Friday : 1 x all hills (32 hills total)
Saturday: No hills
Sunday: Mini maraton with 2x 32 hills (64 hills total)

During the whole week it will be a total number of 160 hills

The points will of course be added from competition to competition, so when you start on tuesday, you start with your score from monday, and so on.

You don't have to participate every day, because you won't lose your total score, but then of course, your chances to win the tour will be small:)

And the winner is of course the one with the highest points during the whole week.

This kind of tournament can be played each season (winter, spring, summer and autumn), 4 times a year.
The months could be f.ex January, April, July and Oktober

If it's not gonna crash with the weekly regular tournaments, the tour can begin 21:00 cet every day, except sunday, when it can start 20:00

I also think that the 3 best in this tour should get a free year online jumping.

How difficult it would be to arrange Tour De DSJ in this winter? If it's easy to schedule, we should do it. There is much players now in online so it's best time.

We jump same tournaments all the time, so competitions with only big hills or only small hills would especially be very interesting to jump. :)

I think whole idea of Tour De DSJ is great.

Jussi told me that he will think about it. And that the scores has to be counted manually from day to day, We will not start with the points from the day before.
But I still hope jussi can find an interesting sollution to this problem :)

I also support the Tour de DSJ idea, but if we'd do it soon (this winter, for example), I suggest a schedule similar to Bernhard's, except that we include Wednesday normal tournament as it is into tour de DSJ (so if it's gonna be realized until the middle of March, that tournament would count double - in Tour de DSJ and in Winter season as well).

So my proposition is:

Monday: 2xsmall hills (16 hills total)
Tuesday: 2 x medium hills (16 hills total)
Wed.day: 1 x all hills (32 hills total)
Thursday: 2 X huge hills (16 hills total)
Friday : 2 x big hills (16 hills total)
Saturday: No hills (in case this is realized this winter of course on Saturdays there is still a regular tounament)
Sunday: Mini maraton with 2x 32 hills (64 hills total)
Who needs drugs when you've got DSJ??

What is Jussi's plan?

Myself I don't care so much how points will be counted or what kind of prizes we have. It will be great tournament anyway. No reason why we shouldn't do it.

I can set this up, though as noted before, the scores won't be calculated automatically. Someone has to export the results from each tournament (I might not be able to join every one of them myself).
So, now we have to decide on the schedule as well as the rules. When should this be arranged? And should it be about the cup points or the jumping points?

4 times a year; march, june, september and december f.ex.
I think the most correct will be jumping points, not cup points.
