I like the online mode of DSJ pretty much. I am going to jump online this winter again - in either case.
Read the topics here and began to wonder why there is no "official" Worldcup. To jump those inofficial Worldcups is also fun, but not that interesting with reference to the results.
I have the idea that in accordance with the real World Cup we have a jumping on each hill during the winter. 1-2 jumpings per weekend, e.g. on Sunday or Saturday afternoon, when most people have some free time. Via screenshot the result would be saved. Points distributed according to the FIS rules. The player who has most points of all at the end is the winner of DSJ Worldcup 2007/2008.
Ideally, Iussi takes the lead of this world cup.
What is your opinion on this topic?
Greetings, Philipp

Ok, yes, that is a valid objection. As long as this is not possible, wouldn't it be possible to run such a Worldcup with the Software existing right now. ~30 jumping after each someone collects the results and saves the results in an external list which is handled according to FIS Worldcup rules. And if at one jumping the server crashes, this is also no problem. Rememberthe last season, New Year's jumping - Garmisch-Partenkirchen. I think it would be possible to carry out such a World Cup. A series of jumpings of that kind we regularly have when we have arranged to meet here.
