He competed in the Norwegian National Championships recently and he finished around 20. place. He has not been in good form after he started jumping again after the operation. As far as I know he will retire after the end of this season.

He said on a interview on Norwegian television that his goal for this season was to qualify for the world championships in Harrachov. Since he has not competed in any international competitions so far this year, I doubt that we will se him in the World Cup this year. He has only been jumping in the Norwegian National Cup this year.

Recently Romoeren has achieved a 2nd place in a Norwegian Cup competition, so...

...today he is starting in COC in Zakopane! I hope he returns to the World Cup, I really like his jumping style and ski flying ability. I wish he would continue his career, because he haven't yet made a final decision to stop jumping after this season.
BTW, Maksimochkin is also competing there, although after his injury in Sochi he said that he won't jump during this season anymore.
UPD: Romoren is 7th after the first round, very nice. And Maksimochkin is 6th.

Would be nice to see Romøren back in the World Cup, but I doubt it
Re: Why isn't the boss Bjorn Einar Romoren competing anyomre
Romøren just won a COC-competition in Zakopane, and will be a part of the Norway squad for the Ski-flying World Championships in Harrachov next weekend.
