Polish Wikipedia corrects the error...

Post by szymbar15 »

...with Kulm. In polish wikipedia page it is said that
Średnia prędkość na rozbiegu: ok. 104,4 km/h
average speed of ski jumper is !104.4 km/h!, so, playing WC why this speed is obtained only skiing on gate 20 and up, which is not aviailable? I hope, that the speed will be corrected in B-3 alongside with these 23 gates, which are ABSOLUTELY not used (+8 glitched by CE) And, why Zakopane has got more gates than Lahti and more UNUSED gates than Lahti? Gotta fix it...

Lille/Lysgårdsbakken:
Average speed of 92.9 km/h
Lahti/Salpausselkä:
93 km/h
Zakopane:
DK, but the record in this hill is... 94.5m! Why it is too easy to jump there?
EDIT:
Gotcha!
Zakopane/Średnia Krokiew:
86,4 km/h
EDIT2:
And why do those hill are called by their city? In Zakopane we have 4 hills:
Wielka Krokiew (K120)
Średnia Krokiew (K80)
Mała Krokiew (K65)
Maleńka Krokiew (Hope see it in full game xD - K35)
EDIT 3:
That was used to be a suggestion, but since it has more bugs, you can move it in the Bugs' topic.

If my jump is better in Kalle's, I'm just drunk...

the hills are called by the citys their in cause using the actual names would require a license which Jussi does not have cause its expensive as shit.

It can to be like that:
Zakopane HS 134
Zakopane HS 94
I think everyone will know HS 134 is Wielka Krokiew and HS 94 is Średnia Krokiew.

I don't think Jussi would need a license to use the proper names. that should be a trademark issue rather than an license issue, no? if so, they should be easily obtainable, if that's even necessary.

I prefer "Zakopane HS***" over some Polish name of the hill.

If you say yes then I'm serious, if you say no then I'm joking.

The speeds you have given are theoretical speeds calculated by FIS. They are not average speeds of real jumps and they seem to be somewhat higher than those reached in real competitions. For example in the world record jump in Kulm (215,5 meters) the speed was (only) 100,7 km/h. There is of course some deviation in the speeds/lengths that can be reached in DSJ4, but it's not that big.

The gates might also differ from the real ones as I don't have any precise data on that. But also the real hills differ by construction so that in some hills the highest gates are never used in the world cup competitions.

These are no bugs, so no need to move this topic. ;)
