I wonder if anyone can help me with this.
I used to love ski jumping when I was a child, but as I grew older I lost interest.
Now I'm crazy about it again, and enjoy watching it with my children.
As I missed a decade or so, there are some things in skijumping that have changed.
One thing I don't understand (and which happpens quite regularly) is jumpers being disqualified because of illegal suits!
How and why do the jumpers get disqualified because of the suits?
Actually, I get the why part - I presume there are certain regulations which have to be obeyed when it comes to suit size and material.
But how come the jumpers are not aware of these? Or are they aware of it, but playing dumb?
Is it like doping in sport? Do the jumpers blame it on the coach?
And how come it happens on almost every competition?
Thanks!
