Re: Longest in the SFWC
I hope it will be 245-250 (it would be very nice if Kranjec would jump 249 ) or more!

250+
wished it would be Prevc flying it, but Kranjec can do it too.
Prevc is gonna make it big once, in my opinion

Re: Longest jump in the SFWC
Kranjec will do 245, but thats it. I hope that there is a bit frontwind, without that we won`t see any long jumps (after the crash of Prevc the Jury will not let jump as long as last year training and qualification).
Schlierenzauer will crash in the downhill after a jump at 70m

Re: Longest jump in the SFWC
So, I hope is the Kamil Stoch improved polish lenght record and maybe Martin Koch, Simon Ammann or Robert Kranjec improved world record maybe 254m wow!. In my opinion only they jumpers have chances in the world record.

Re: Longest jump in the SFWC
240 meters will be broken at some point probably. Today the conditions will be difficult for long jumps, the wind should primarily come from behind or from the side of the hill and it's gusty. Tomorrow the conditions should be much better.
EDIT: The wind looks to swirl towards the hill, with the gustiness intact causing some breaks.

Jurij Tepes, holy mother of god that jump looked scary. I was so certain he is going to hurt himself but he took it down. Never seen a jump so high in that hill.

Amazing jump, very high, something like Ammann 233 meters from Planica 2009.Arto Sihvola wrote:Jurij Tepes, holy mother of god that jump looked scary. I was so certain he is going to hurt himself but he took it down. Never seen a jump so high in that hill.

I hope Stoch gets a second chance... But I doubt that will happen Great jumping by the Finns, for a change.

Re: Longest jump in the SFWC
The strongest recorded wind gust at the landing slope is roughly 13 m/s. Not looking good at all
Re: Longest jump in the SFWC
Well apparently he'll get a second chance tomorrow if the strong wind continues to persist.TPo wrote:I hope Stoch gets a second chance... But I doubt that will happen Great jumping by the Finns, for a change.
