Hi!

After I installed a game yesterday I can`t launch DSJ4. (I installed a new DirectX) Error message: "Could not find the selected 3D adapter"

- Im`m gonna try to download from Microsoft and test now, instead the install from the other game. (It is a new game)

- Edit: Just say that I have a newer installation of DirectX.

ahhh. I installed Fraps yesterday also!

- Did you uninstall Fraps and made the game to run again or does it still not running?

- Edit: I unistalled Fraps, but the error message is the same.

Other games run just fine. So, Mediamond! Please make a quik fix for this problem with the DirectX.

My fraps works without a problem, so the reason might be in your graphic drivers. Try updating you graphic drivers and / or running dsj4 setup again.

I suggest to try without Fraps too. It's giving huge lag to me.

Fraps is uninstalled, and it does not lag either. That is not the problem.

I`m gonna re-install the upgraded GFX driver now. (Was also upgraded yesterday, but before I installed Fraps)

Just rerun DSJ4 Setup (setup.exe).

Do I need to take backup of jumper suits and stuff?

No, you just select the 3d adapter again.

Same thing happens after reinstall of DSJ4 (same error message)

I have not reinstalled GFX drivers yet, I`m gonna do that now..

OK!

Maybe the solution was to reinstall the game and choose gfx card (I did not remember to do that)
but! I re-installed the gfx driver + dsj4 and made sure to run the configurator.

It runs now..

But I am not happy with that! I would like to know why DSJ fails to run because I use Fraps! I love Fraps and I tend to use it.
Is this because of the game "Jussi" engine? (Did you Jussi write the game engine?
Do you use Unity, /TimelineFX? and/or others?

I`m a game developer myself and would like to know.

If you change/update the graphics drivers you need to rerun DSJ4 setup and select the 3D adapter again. There should be no problem with Fraps. The game engine is my own.

Ok.. I tried to run DSJ4 again today (I have not installed new programs or games on my system)

I now got the same error message I got yesterday..

- Solution is this: I need to launch the setup and press ok every time before I lanch djs4.exe

- Edit: Seems like I only have to do it after restart.
